Greetings Tankers!
Starting at 12pm PST on Friday, August 7th the World of Tanks community will be coming together to benefit Operation Supply Drop and their year round 8-Bit Salute campaign. They will have streamers big and small hosting the event (Streamers include Wargaming, JunkersHiryu, Cindex, Zoidbergenstein, and many other streamers from teams/groups in the community). The goal is to have fun as a community and enjoy the “Tanking for the Troops” community event.
Special Guest Nicholas “Chieftain” Moran will be joining us on Friday, Aug 7th from 12pm – 2pm PST. He is not only the on staff historian and tank expert for Wargaming, he is a military veteran and a member of the Operation Supply Drop Ambassador Program. As the face of Wargaming, he travels the world supporting many veteran causes and military history restoration projects.
Everyone likes prizes and Wargaming has been super kind to support the event with some exclusive prizes as noted below. Every streamer during the event will be handing these prizes out to those that simply show up for the various streams and are an active part of this great event. During the first two hours of the World of Tanks Community Event “Tanking for the Troops” community event, Wargaming will be giving away multiple Type-59 tanks. You heard us right, the Type-59. All you have to do if you want a chance to add one of these to your garage is make sure you join us in stream from 12pm to 2pm PST on Friday Aug 7th. Do not miss the chance to call one of these rare beasts, yours.
We are not done yet! As an added bonus the World of Tanks Xbox team will be streaming on Friday as well from 2-4pm PST with prizing for XBOX Gamers of very rare and valuable tanks every 15 minutes within those two hours. You don’t want to miss out on this stream.
The streams starts Friday, August 7th at 12:00 PM PST with Wargaming on their channel located HERE. At 4:00 PM PST we will transition over to the Tanking for the Troops Twitch channel HERE, for the rest of the festivities which will last 36 hours until Saturday, August 8th at 11:59PM PST.
